Oklahoma School Board Journal - The Oklahoma School Board Journal is a publication sent to school board members and administrators every two months. The magazine features news articles and legal information about Oklahoma education issues. For information about advertising in the Journal, please contact Kelly Ross at the OSSBA. Superintendent Search Service-A customized service tailored to meet the needs of your school district in finding your ideal superintendent. Fees are based on the level of assistance that will be provided with regard to the search.
Policy Subscription Services-The OSSBA offers two levels of service, basic and maintenance. These services include a monthly publication and sample policies. The maintenance service includes customized service. Policy subscription subscribers will also receive the monthly newsletter PSST!, containing up-to-the-minute policy information and sample policies.
Online Policy Services-Your school district’s policy manual can be placed online with links to legal references and cross references to additional policies.
Oklahoma Public Schools Unemployment Compensation Trust Account (OPSUCA)-A public trust that is administered by the OSSBA and is endorsed by CCOSA and OSSBA jointly. This program provides unemployment claims representation, processing, and training on unemployment issues.
Whole Board and Regional Training-Customized training provided at significantly reduced rates to school districts. The training is tailored to the individual needs of each district and is provided by one of the OSSBA’s approved trainers.
LIP Service-A monthly newsletter entitled “Legal Information for Principals” is provided to subscribing administrators for a nominal fee. This publication provides a reference tool for administrators on current legal issues.
E-Meeting-A user-friendly online service specifically designed for school boards. Users can eliminate unnecessary paperwork, increase efficiency and reduce costs while enabling board members to utilize the latest in cutting edge technology. http://portal.ossba.org/secure
BuyBoard-(offered in conjunction with the Oklahoma Cooperative Council of School Administrators and Texas Association of School Boards). This is a group purchasing program which is available on-line for subscribing school districts. Subscribing school districts are able to request quotes and purchase needed items.
Oklahoma Schools Secure Purchasing Card-This purchasing card program is jointly sponsored by OSSBA and CCOSA, creating flexible, streamlined purchasing options through a third-party financial institution, and will provide accountability and reduce paperwork with regard to school expenditures.
Oklahoma Liquid Asset Pool (OLAP)-Allows public school districts to safely control their internal interest earnings, providing additional dollars to increase the quality of educational services available to students across Oklahoma.
