Online Learning from OSSBA

Children and communities are best served when local school districts have a strong governance team.

Join Julie Miller, OSSBA deputy executive director and general counsel, and Dr. Ann Caine, OSSBA director of education leadership for a discussion about the proper roles and responsibilities for superintendents and board members and the qualities of an effective governance team.

Have a question for Julie and Ann to address during the workshop? Submit it in advance here.

Workshop materials will be available for registered attendees the morning of the workshop through the OSSBA member portal.

Unable to join us live? The workshop will be repeated on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at noon and will be recorded and available for later registration and viewing.

Basic Roles & Responsibilities is eligible for 1 ETH credit.

Online registration is available through the OSSBA member portal. For information or questions about the member portal, please contact Lisa Deaton or Terri Silver by email with your name, district, and email address or call 888.528.3571.

Basic Roles & Responsibilities is $60 for OSSBA members, and $120 for nonmembers. Each registration is valid for one computer. Multiple people may share a computer to watch, but each school board member who needs board credit must have an individual registration. Workshop login information will be sent via email after registration confirmation.
