School districts have created crisis management plans for decades. District leaders are relying on previous knowledge to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic while developing a new understanding of how to lead during a crisis.

During this online learning session, join Jenks school board member Melissa Abdo, OSSBA Director of Education Leadership Dr. Ann Caine, and OSSBA Associate Executive Director Dr. Joe Siano, for a conversation about the leader’s role in crisis management.

To whet your appetite, here are just a couple questions:

  • What has been your role in your district over the past six weeks?
  • What lessons have we learned from the COVID pandemic that can be applied to a future crisis?

Workshop materials will be available for registered attendees through the OSSBA member portal.

Unable to join us live? The workshop will be recorded and available for later registration and viewing.

Leading and Learning is eligible for 1 Ethics school board member credit.

Online registration is available through the OSSBA member portal. For information or questions about the member portal, please contact Lisa Deaton or Terri Silver by email with your name, district, and email address or call 888.528.3571.

Leading and Learning registration is $60 per credit hour for OSSBA members, and $120 per credit hour for nonmembers. Each registration is valid for one computer. Multiple people may share a computer to watch, but each school board member who needs board credit must have an individual registration.
