Join OSSBA’s advocacy team in kicking off the beginning of the 2021 legislative session. We’ll give an overview of the legislative process, review the state budget outlook, discuss hot-topic issues before legislators this year, break down Gov. Kevin Stitt’s budget proposal and state-of-the-state address and talk about the critical role school board members play in legislative advocacy.

Legislative Advocacy for Education Leaders is eligible for 2 ethics credits.

Have a question for the panel to address during the workshop? Submit it in advance here.

Workshop materials will be available for registered attendees the morning of the workshop through the OSSBA member portal.

Unable to join us live? The workshop will be recorded and available for later registration and viewing through OSSBA’s on-demand learning library.

Online registration is available through the OSSBA member portal. For information or questions about the member portal, please contact Lisa Deaton by email with your name, district, and email address or call 888.528.3571.

Legislative Advocacy for Education Leaders is $100 for OSSBA members, and $200 for nonmembers. Each registration is valid for one computer. Multiple people may share a computer to watch, but each school board member who needs board credit must have an individual registration. Workshop login information will be sent via email after registration confirmation. This session is free for board members and superintendents whose districts subscribe to the OSSBA Online Board Bundle.
