We will examine the different types of speech and expression during this in-depth workshop on the Establishment Clause, including religious activities and the right not to speak for both students and school employees.

Presented by Tony Childers, OSSBA Staff Attorney and Rooney Virgin, OSSBA Director of Government Affairs

Workshop materials will be available for registered attendees the morning of the workshop through the OSSBA member portal.

This session will be recorded and made available through the OSSBA On-Demand Learning Library.

Neutral Grounds – Religion and Speech in Schools is eligible for 2 ethics credits for school board members.

Registration is $100 for OSSBA members, $200 for non-members. Registrations are due by Nov. 11. In-person registrations after the deadline are $125 ($250 for non-members). Notice of in-person registration cancellation must be received in writing by the registration due date for a refund (less a $25 cancellation fee). No refunds will be offered after the due date. Virtual registrations are not subject to a price increase or cancellation fee.
