The New School Board Member Workshop is held in conjunction with the Incumbent School Board Member Workshop (runs concurrently with the New session) and the Making Student Achievement #1 Workshop on Saturday, May 22.

Board members may receive up to six credit hours. Credits offered are: Open Meeting Act, Ethics and Finance. This workshop along with the Making Student Achievement #1 workshop May 22 (OKC) or June 11 (Tulsa) will fulfill the new board member 15-month requirements.

Workshop materials will be available for registered attendees the morning of the workshop through the OSSBA member portal.

Can’t make it to the Oklahoma City sessions?

The New and Incumbent sessions will be repeated at the Tulsa Southern Hills Marriott on Saturday, June 12. Making Student Achievement #1 will be repeated at the Tulsa Southern Hills Marriott on Friday, June 11.

Registration is $150 for members, $300 for non-members. Registrations are due by May 14 (Oklahoma City) or June 3 (Tulsa). Notice of cancellation must be received in writing by the registration due date for a refund (less a $25 cancellation fee). No refunds will be offered after the due date. Registrations after the deadline (including on-site) are $175 ($350 for non-members).

Special savings — combine the New or Incumbent Workshop with Making Student Achievement #1 for a total registration price of $275. Savings available until the end of business May 14 (Oklahoma City) or June 3 (Tulsa).

OSSBA is concerned about the safety and well-being of attendees. Necessary COVID-19-related precautions and protocols will be evaluated and shared closer to the event date.
