Education is a hot topic at the Capitol, and we need you, Oklahoma’s education leaders, there on Tuesday, March 21, to ensure that your voice and education’s voice is heard in the halls of the Oklahoma Capitol.
OSSBA’s Day at the Capitol is a great opportunity to hear from top policymakers on legislative issues relating to public education and visit with your local legislators.
- 8:30 a.m. Registration
- 9 a.m. Kick off at the OSSBA Conference Center (pastries will be available). Shuttles will be provided between OSSBA and the Capitol.
- 9:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Visit with legislators. We encourage you to make an appointment in advance. Find your legislators at www.ossba.org/legislators
- 12:30 p.m. Lunch at OSSBA. Legislative leaders will speak about education issues this session. The lunch session will be eligible for one ethics credit for school board members.
- 1:30 p.m. Return to the Capitol on your own and visit with your legislators.
Day at the Capital is eligible for 1 ethics credit for school board members who are present for the morning and afternoon sessions.
