Region 10 Spring Meeting

March 9, 2023 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

OSSBA: Working for You

The conversation begins with the pre-region meeting workshop from 5:30-6:15 p.m.

At our fall region meetings and through our annual survey, OSSBA asked: How can we better serve you, your district and your students? You shared, and we listened.

We want you to learn from one another about the great programs and initiatives in your districts. And we’ll share about exciting new ways OSSBA can help your district strengthen services and bolster success. From rethinking your technology program and planning your next bond issue to building community partnerships and adopting a more meaningful evaluation system, our team is ready to support your district’s goals for the future.

We’ll also talk about the OSSBA resources, communication and support you can expect this spring to assist your advocacy efforts at the state Capitol this spring.

Working with the Legislature: Budget & Legislative Update

The region meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. After dinner, the conversation continues.

Local education leaders and legislators are key partners in ensuring student success remains central in conversations about education. We’ll provide the latest update from the state Capitol and what that means for Oklahoma students.

Legislators have been invited, but we encourage you to also issue a personal invitation to your local legislators.

Dinner will be provided by BWA Architects as a service to the OSSBA membership for all board members and up to two administrators.

OSSBA Director Election

OSSBA Region 10 will elect one Director to the OSSBA Board of Directors at the Region 10 Meeting. Dr. Dorrie Parrott is completing a term and is eligible for re-election. A candidate for the position must be nominated by his/her local board of education and seconded by another Region 10 board of education member.
