Recognizing all students can learn, McLoud Public Schools commits to challenging every student to be adaptable, articulate, and literate problem solvers who, as critical thinkers, are self-motivated and responsible citizens.
McLoud Public Schools is dedicated to finding and retaining top teaching talent by utilizing a four-day school week, providing occasional bonuses, and allowing teachers a platform to speak for change. We are proud of our staff longevity at McLoud.
Multi year national qualifiers in our Archery Program.
District champs in boys basketball for 20-21.
Slowpitch softball state qualifiers two consecutive years.
Competitive yearly in multiple sports.
Our Band has competed at one regional marching competition this year, placing third in class, first in drum major class, and first in drum major for all classes. In 20-21, they competed at the state level, and students received superior ratings in solos.
Our Drama department produces plays which include our special education students in a “buddy” type situation. They work as a unit rather than two individuals. We have qualified for state numerous times, and have had numerous all-state actors over the years. Our shows include a variety of ages from 5-70, that include family members and/or staff.
Although attrition has caused us to lose many of our long-time teachers, we now have a great mixture of young, energetic go-getters to blend with our experienced teaching staff.
We are proud to have two alumni associations that provide scholarships, teacher grants and enormous support to McLoud Public Schools.
