HR Academy

December 1, 2022 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

The HR Academy is FREE for OSSBA Employment Services Members.

No matter the size of the district, it is crucial that school leaders understand the importance of retaining and leading quality teachers and support professionals. It is also important for school leaders to have the management tools, knowledge and confidence to handle employment matters.

Join the OSSBA Employment Services Team, along with our special guests, for our full-day HR Academy where we’ll discuss best practices and legal requirements related to personnel management. Our special guest will provide training for alcohol misuse and controlled substance use along with signs and symptoms of each and what employers can do in these situations. This training will comply with the Federal Motor Carrier 49 CFR 382.603 supervisor training for DOT and non-DOT employees. The Academy will benefit administrators, human resource personnel, business managers, payroll staff, supervisors of DOT employees, and other school professionals that deal with personnel issues.
