Webinars for Board Members and Administrators

Webinars offer school board members and administrators a convenient option for learning new information and receiving required training.

Webinar registration is $50 per credit hour for OSSBA members, and $100 per credit hour for nonmembers. Each registration is valid for one computer. Multiple people may share a computer to watch, but each school board member who needs board credit must have an individual registration.

Live webinars begin at noon, and registration must be completed one hour before the webinar begins.

An update on the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act.  Discussion will include changes in law that were passed during the 2017 legislative session and more:

  • New options for agenda posting
  • Timeline changes for special meeting notices
  • Email distribution of the agenda for those choosing to post meetings electronically

What’s New in Special Education

This webinar will provide an overview of special education law and what can be done by schools to meet the challenges in special education programs. We’ll discuss updates to state and federal law and recent policy guidance letters and we’ll include a review of recent special education-related court decisions.
