Recognizing and Reporting Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect

October 15, 2019 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

The school environment plays a vital role in identifying and assisting children who may be experiencing abuse and neglect. As professionals with a responsibility for and a dedication to the students in your care, this workshop will help administrators recognize potential abuse situations and will help administrators and board members explore the ethical and legal duty of reporting suspected cases. Presented by a welfare specialist and OSSBA attorneys, we’ll work to alleviate any reporting concerns you may have while emphasizing the importance of timely, accurate and legal reporting.

Register online through the member portal.

This workshop is eligible for 2 LEGAL credits. Registration is $75 for members, $150 for non-members. Registrations are due on or before October 11. Notice of cancellation must be received in writing by the registration due date for a refund (less a $25 cancellation fee). No refunds will be offered after the due date. Registrations after the deadline (including on-site) are $90 ($180 for non-members).
