Strategic Leadership

The conversation begins with the pre-region meeting workshop from 5:30-6:15 p.m.

Thoughtful and strategic leadership from school district governance teams – school board members in partnership with the superintendent – is centered on student success. Even though the individual roles and responsibilities of board members and superintendents are different, we’ll discuss eight key areas of governance, how those areas contribute to student achievement, and what data governance teams can use to measure the success of students, set goals and measure progress toward district goals.

Working with the Legislature: Budget & Legislative Update

Local education leaders and legislators are key partners in ensuring student success remains central in conversations about education. We’ll provide the latest update from the state Capitol and what that means for Oklahoma students.

Legislators have been invited, but we encourage you to also issue a personal invitation to your local legislators.
