Title IX Changes: What Schools Need to Know

The U.S. Department of Education recently released massive new changes for Title IX.

The changes will affect, in part, the following: when districts will be obligated to investigate under Title IX, the type of notice and due process that must be provided to the parties to a claim, and the specific investigative procedures that must be followed. The U.S. Department of Education has set an implementation deadline of August 14, 2020, so districts have limited time to receive training and begin making policy and procedure changes.

Presented by: Brandon Carey, OSSBA staff attorney
