Pre-Region Meeting

Fair Labor Standards Act
5:30-6:15 p.m. 
The Pre-Region Meeting Workshop will focus on changes to the “Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).” The Fair Labor Standards Act is a law that governs wage requirements for employees. Failure to comply with the FLSA can lead to monetary fines and potential judgments against a school district. In an effort to prepare school districts for changes that will go into effect on December 1, 2016, the OSSBA legal staff has prepared a training update on the law to ensure that schools are in compliance with the law.

The pre-region meeting workshop is eligible for 1 Legal credit.

Region Meeting

The region meeting will include discussion on state questions, the OSSBA portal and the Oklahoma Library of Digital Resources.

The region meeting is eligible for 2 Continuing Education credits.
